Citizens, Inc. Begins Trading on NYSE
To celebrate the Company's first day of trading on the NYSE, Harold E. Riley, Citizens' Chairman, rang the opening bell. Joining him on the podium for the event were members of Citizens' executive management. Mr. Riley purchased the first 1,000 shares of the Company's stock that traded on the NYSE.
Speaking from the floor of the Exchange minutes after trading began, Riley noted, "The listing on the New York Stock Exchange is a very significant and important event in the growth and development of Citizens. The NYSE is the largest and most prestigious exchange in the world, and we are pleased and honored to be included among its listed firms."
